My players for a breakout year:
Shonn Greene(NYJ) He will have the starting job in his second year, plus a veteran line and more experienced Mark Sanchez.
Rashard Mendenhall (PIT) I have him in my top 10 as i think he can become a premier back in the AFC.
Tony Romo(DAL) Add Dez Bryant to already Roy Williams and Miles Austin, plus Jason Witten, and Romo can easily throw for 3,000 yards.
Players I'm not high on-
Thomas Jones(KC) Jamaal Charles will eventually get most of the hand offs in KC.
Roy Williams(DAL) He might lose his spot to rookie Dez Bryant.
Tony Gonzalez(ATL) Starting to lose production in the red zone.
Would this really be a breakout year for Romo? Hasn't he already established himself in the NFL as a very good player? Also, who do you feel will be the top D/ST and the top TE's?
ReplyDeleteThis would be a career year for Romo. Gates, Witten, Clark and Celek are my top 4. Look for Greg Olsen to have a good year too
ReplyDeleteI dont like mendenhall that high and Romo pretty much established himself already as a good QB. How is Tony gonzalez not a top 4 TE? I also think that Aaron Rodgers is too high on your board. Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers are both definitely gonna have better seasons. Even Brady could do better this year. And i dont see shonn greene producing alot. Look for LT to have an amazing comeback season
ReplyDeleteLt might not even be the backup, as joe mcknight has been good in mini camp. Rodgers will be a top 3 fantasy QB this year and Gonzalez won't even come close to the numbers he usually puts up. ITS GOING TO BE A CAREER YEAR FOR ROMO...how many times do i have to say it?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on all of this expect for Mcknight and Rodgers. I dont even see Rodgers in the top 5 for QBs.
ReplyDeleteRex Ryan said this week Mcknight will get plenty of carries, even with LT and Greene ahead of him. He did not acknowledge that LT would definetly be the second string back, however.
ReplyDeleteRodgers will definately be a top 3 QB. He put up the numbers last year, and with Gregg Jennings and Donald Driver how can you expect anything different. Also, if Ryan grant can have a semi good year, the defense can't just play to stop the pass, opening up the whole field for Rodgers. Phillip Rivers will definitely not have a better year than Rodgers. With vincent Jackson gone for the first 3 games and LT gone, it will be a good test to see how good Rivers is. ULtimately Jackson might not even be there at all this year, especially if he doesn't get his new contract.
ReplyDeleteWAit for the end of the year and we will see who has the better year Rivers or Rodgers.
